Introduction to the Sport of Fencing

Michael Tarascio, a former member of the United States World Championship Team, will be the presenter. Michael’s philosophy on fencing is “Participate in fencing because it’s fun.”

Learn about the exciting sport of fencing! Often called a physical game of chess, fencing develops endurance, coordination, agility, poise, and balance. While fencing is a physical sport, it is also a mental game requiring concentration, quick decision-making, and problem-solving. It’s an ideal activity for people of all ages and sizes.

Participants need to wear a face mask.

Participants need to wear athletic shoes, long, loose-fitting pants, and a t-shirt.

The fee is $30. payable to Arlington Eats. The $30 will cover one or more participants from an immediate family.

Invitation to NEFA Fencers
NEFA Fencers may come to fence from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at no cost. This includes fencers who are not enrolled in a class during the summer. Fencers must have fencing gear. Would you please email me if you wish to participate?
